This isn't an either/or situation, use a variety of tools to get the best job done. Lightburn will do all the simple things but complex masking, layering, filters and clever image effects are simply not there - nor would you expect them to be. ![]() You're going to have to learn it in the end anyway because a) you've already bought it and b) you need it to run your engraver! However it does not offer all the options provided by a dedicated 2D art package like Inkscape (another free product) or the image manipulation ability of a dedicated photo editing program, although a lot of the extra functions do include colour manipulation which isn't really needed. Just learn Lightburn because there are not that many layout functions to learn and it's particularly aimed toward users of laser engravers. A free lens is included with the purchase, more lens can be easily purchased from SCULPFUN. ![]() An EZD file is a measurement file created by Nanosurf. That's useful in itself if you run such machines but if you have a need for that I would go for FreeCAD instead of Fusion360 because Autodesk tend to mess with their free product's functions. More Information Associate the EZD file extension with the correct application. Fusion360 is 3D design software so although it will do the 2D layouts you need for a laser engraver/cutter a lot of its extra functionality is aimed at CAD work for routers, CNC and 3D printers.
